Holly Gayle Chumbley of Lewisville, Texas, and Matthew Lawrence Hayes of Mesquite, Texas, were married by the Rev. Kenneth Byrd at a 5 p.m. candlelit ceremony on Oct. 11, 2009, at Chapelle des Fleurs in Flower Mound, Texas. A reception in the adjoining ballroom immediately followed the ceremony.

The bride is the daughter of George and Carla Chumbley of Lewisville. She is a graduate of Lewisville High School and prior to the marriage had been working at Primrose School of NE Flower Mound.

The groom is the son of Larry and Marilyn Hayes of Winthrop Harbor, Ill. A graduate of Zion Benton Township High School in Zion, Ill., he went on to earn his undergraduate degree from Augustana College in Rock Island, Ill., followed by obtaining his master's degree from Washington University in St. Louis. He works as a home health physical therapist in the Dallas area.

A local reception was held for the newlyweds on Nov. 14, 2009, at the Parkway Chateau in Kenosha.

After honeymooning in Maui, the couple reside in Mesquite.
