Elissa Richardson and Tim Ipsen, both of Kenosha, were married on June 25, 2016, at the First Congregational United Church of Christ in Lake Geneva She is the daughter of William Richardson and Elizabeth "Betsy" Mayer-Richardson of Kenosha. He is the son of James and Debra Ipsen of Pleasant Prairie. The Rev. Jewel Olson officiated the 3 p.m. ceremony.
Amelia Richardson, sister of the bride, was the maid of honor. The bridesmaids were long-time friends, Alyse (DeSoto) Knust, Jennifer (Stone) Hayes, Kelly (Wepking) Capel, Sarah Garvey and Angela Morris.
Ross Ipsen, brother of the groom, was the best man. The groomsmen were Ahmed Musiol, Dan Meinhardt, Carl Kennedy, Andrew Green, and Alex Marianyi.
Alyssa Nepper and Tyler Richardson were ushers.
The reception was held at the Twin Lakes Country Club.
The bride graduated from Bradford High School and the University of Evansville, receiving a degree in theater education and a minor in psychology. She is employed as a performing arts and general music teacher for the Kenosha Unified School District.
The groom graduated from Tremper High School and Columbia College in Chicago, receiving a degree in music performance-jazz studies. He is employed at both the Kenosha Unified School District and the University of Wisconsin-Parkside as well as being an independent musician and instructor.
They went on a mini-moon to the mountains around Asheville, N.C., with a full honeymoon planned for a later date.
The couple reside in Kenosha.
