Johnson-Kirby

Janel Johnson and Kenneth Kirby, 7121 23rd Ave, Kenosha, announced their engagement. She is the daughter of James C. and Dorothy M. Johnson of Indianapolis, Ind. He is the son of James and Linda Kirby of Kenosha.

The future bride graduated from North Central High School in Indianapolis and attended Indiana University Purdue at Indianapolis, pursuing a degree in communication studies.

Her fiance graduated from Tremper High School and the University of Wisconsin-Madison, receiving a degree in materials science engineering. Kenneth is employed at Snap-On Tools in Kenosha.

They plan to be married on Oct. 9, 2010.
