Kira Dimitrijevich of Kenosha and Michael Buchkoe of Marquette, Mich., announced their engagement. She is the daughter of Alex and Sharon Dimitrijevich of Winthrop Harbor, Ill. He is the son of Tom and Barbara Buchkoe of Marquette, Mich.

The future bride graduated from Zion-Benton Township High School in 2004 and Northern Michigan University, receiving a bachelor's degree in nursing. She is employed as a registered nurse in the emergency department at Kenosha Hospital.

Her fiance graduated from Marquette High School in 2002 and Northern Michigan University, receiving a bachelor's degree in construction management. He is employed as a field engineer for M.A. Mortenson Construction in Minneapolis, Minn.

They plan to be married on Oct. 8 in Marquette.
