Sarah McCannon Barasch and Thomas Russell Kutz, both of Jefferson, announced their engagement. She is the daughter of Stephen Barasch of Pleasant Prairie and Nancy Barasch of Kenosha. He is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Russell Kutz of Jefferson.

The future bride graduated from Tremper High School and Beloit College in Beloit, She is a graduate student at the Chicago School of Professional Psychology.

Her fiance graduated from Jefferson High School and the University of Wisconsin-Madison. He is employed by the City of Jefferson.

A July 11 wedding is planned.
