ABOUT THE COUPLE
How they met:
During freshman year at Tremper High School.
How he proposed: One evening, Julie, thinking she was there to help the head coach of the Tremper girls soccer team, arrived at Ameche Field to find Mike waiting for her. After walking by six roses representing how many years they dated, Mike got down on one knee and popped the question, to which she said yes. Family members, assembled in the bleachers behind the couple, started cheering.

THE CEREMONY
The ceremony:
The ceremony was officiated by the bride’s cousin, Vinnie Zarletti, and a rose was brought forth in memory of their deceased grandparents. Vinnie and Amanda Zarletti sang “The Prayer;” Brenda Zarletti and Matt Short sang “God Made You;” and “The Lord’s Prayer” was sung by the bride’s uncle, Larry Zarletti.
The gown: A strapless satin gown with a Swarovski crystal belt.
The bouquet: Hydrangeas, calla lilies, roses and silver bling.
The theme: Purple and Silver Bling.

THE WEDDING PARTY
Maid of honor: Brenda Zarletti
Bridesmaids: Melissa Castellano, Stephanie Short, Amanda Zarletti, Katie Zarletti, Lauren Mogensen, Autumn Greco, Nicole Heyden and Emmie Cibrario
Best man: Matthew Short

THE RECEPTION

The reception: Veterans Terrace
The cake: A 400-cupcake tree, made of chocolate, yellow, confetti, strawberry, red velvet and lemon cupcakes. The top of the tree was a two-tier square cake with elegant swirls. Cake pops, decorated as a bride and groom, served as wedding favors.
First song: “Then” by Brad Paisley
The menu: Italian-baked chicken; stuffed cheese and meat shells; mashed potato bar; penne alfredo with vegetables; chocolate fountains with marshmallows, biscotti, pretzels, pineapple, strawberries and Rice Krispies to dip; and assorted Italian cookies.
What made the day unique: Having friends and family there to celebrate.
Most touching moment of the day: Before the ceremony, the bride and groom wrote each other letters and then prayed together with a door in between them so they could not see each other.
Honeymoon destination: A cruise to Haiti, Jamaica and Mexico.
