ABOUT THE COUPLE
How they met: Through a mutual friend almost eight years ago.
How he proposed: Kevin gave the impression he didn’t want to get married, so Samantha was taken by surprise. On Christmas morning, he insisted she open her gift first. She was disappointed initially because the box contained a snowman cup, but then she saw a jewelry box inside the cup. He then got on his knee and asked her to marry him.

THE CEREMONY
The ceremony: The ceremony was held at 2 p.m. at First Presbyterian Church in Kenosha.
The gown: An A-line gown with detachable cap sleeves; chiffon split front overlay; metallic embroidery; and chapel train.
The bouquet: Pink roses, stephanotis, calla lilies, gerbera daisies, ivory, greens, and tiger lilies in memory her grandmother who passed away.
The theme: Silver crossed hearts
Colors: Watermelon and silver

THE RECEPTION

The reception: Oak Creek Legion, Oak Creek, Wis.
The cake: Three-tier chocolate, vanilla and swirl cake; white frosting and pink flowers; and a lighted heart cake topper. There was a dessert table with homemade Italian cookies and biscotti.
First song: "When I said I do" by Clint Black
The menu: Roast beef au jus, chicken, whipped potatoes, green beans, coleslaw and dinner rolls.
What made the day unique: It rained in the morning, but stopped in time for the ceremony and the pictures; they say everything came together for them.
Most touching moments of the day: Seeing each other for the first time before they were husband and wife; when they said their vows;, and having family and friends there. They were also touched by the flowers and candles her parents and maid of honor set up for them in the hotel suite given as a gift from her parents.
Honeymoon destination: St. Pete Beach in Florida for six days.
